Default 2002 Is300 Manual..should I get it?

I have a few friends who own is300 but they own the 2003 and newer now I know the car is reliable and im expecting to do some maintenance work on it because it is like 11 years old. The car has 116k miles on it claims to have a new transmission it seems like a steal but they want $8.5k for it which to me seems a little pricey. It is the only one within 300 miles of me that is a manual and offered at a dealership. I am looking to finance the car to build a credit history any and all input is greatly appreciated!

Go for it. I paid about the same for my 02 IBP 5-speed in December. Has the timing belt and water pump been replaced?

Car is gorgeous for 8.5k but like texas says bargain the tbelt job, that at a shop is somewhere in the 1200 range and yes get new wheels lol but these engines are strong and reliable 116k is just breaking it in

You can always negotiate to try and get the price down.

i did not get the car i went and checked it out the thing is falling apart. they said it was clean title no accidents the whole passenger's side of the car was painted and never buffed parts of the car were taped on. Interior noting was screwed in if you open the windows and then when you tried to close them the whole panel falls out and it just wasnt worth anything close to what they were asking for it. It was at a little family dealership, their mechanic works in a tent in front of the dealership

Wow... sounded like a good deal. Guess it was too good to be true.

Keep on searching, you will find the right IS for you sooner or later.

there seems to be a nice clean on on the CL up here in the Boston area if you wouldn't mind traveling.
