Red face Miss shift?

I was driving to work this morning and I did a third gear pull and I shifted into seccond by accident first time this happened since i had the car .did not see we're the rpms were because it scared the hell out me I quickly shifted back into Third I know for a fact it wasn't no where near 7k I know becuase i didn't hear the rev limiter kick in . The car still runs fine. Just curious if I should be worried about any internal damage. It has paranoid at work right now any help would be great.

So long as it is still running and making good power, nothing to worry about really.

In my experience the car will blow past the rev limiter when miss-shifted. It happens from time to time. Listen for louder bent valves, but in all honesty your probably fine.
