Default newb 2jzgte vvti swap question..

Im going to be buying a swap next week and ive ran into a question..
I "think" that the 2jzgte vvti swap is the simplest of the other options.. I think lol
Ive seen that the gte swap has to have custom mounts, oil pan and a few others on other fourms?
Am i missing something? I feel dumb asking this question but i just wanna ask the pros (you guys) before i spend the money and get the wrong engine..
Thanks so much!

yes. for the vvti swap you dont have to change motor mounts or oil pan. theres a long thread about the swap on MY.is forum,

make sure the motor you buy is in good condition. accessories are complete and the wiring is not dry rot.

Thanks a lot for your answer
My next question.. Do I have to run a stand alone fuel management/aftermarket ecu? Can I use the gte ecu? I haven't found a clear answer to this question.

I'd be inclined to think that you will be able to use the Ecu that comes with the swap. I believe our cars have a separate body Ecu. Could be wrong tho. My.is does have a lot of info.

I would suggest you talk to your local tuner about working on the car for you.
