2002 IS300 here in Honolulu, Hawaii. Grandma got it for my when I graduated from HS. I was obsessed with that car.
This past month I traded it in and got myself an RX350. It was and kinda remains an emotional thing for me because that was a gift before she passed away.
So positives:
Relatively problem free until recently.
Easy to drive, park, etc.
It was and still is the car for teenagers/college kids. Chicks dig it bwahah.
Overall look of the car is sporty/nice.
Pearl White/Black Leather combo is pretty.
Negatives:
The melting dashboard thing effen sucks!
Potholes in Honolulu suck *** and I actually cracked a rim and blew a few tires hitting them.
In addition to the melting dashboard, I didn't really like the plastic of the trim.
Trunk space sucks.
CD broke once during warranty. Broke a second time and decided against fixing it.
The long stock antenna sucked.

I love my car besides little problems that I caused by being low and natural age issues. I am lucky enough to have an O4 manual sport design with OEM LSD black on black. I have put 70k on my car and the only money I've spent on maintenance was for my 90k timing belt/ water pump change ect. I get about 32 MPG on 91 Octane with my header and no cats going 70 mph on the freeway and about 23 in town cause I keep my foot in it alot The quality is great for the price and I love the 2jz even it its non turbo....I suggest finding a good powerdyne style super charger kit if you want a bit more power... 300WHP is easily made with stock fuel system on stock internals. ...you keep you foot out of it you MPG won't suffer much either.

I have only owned mine a few months now but so far so good. I have to agree with the stock radio thing. Switched to an aftermarket and used a metra harness to continue using the stock amp. Stock leather seats don't seem very good for aggressive driving. For a pure daily driver it is wonderful. For a daily driver / race car I would say there are better options even though there are tons of people here that do it. Just depends on how deep you want to go into the car.
