Default Turbo is300

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I'm curious to see if it would work. I'm running stock with an AEM intake, but I'm in the process of boosting. I was wondering if I took the filter off of the short ram, and just hooked intercooler piping to it and just used that for the MAS instead of buying all new piping for the MAS. Thanks, sorry new to this

No, If you're planning on boosting, stop trying to be cheap from the beginning. You're going to end up spending THOUSANDS of dollars. If you're going to try and take shortcuts here and there.... especially not knowing what the hell you're doing, you're going to end up spending even more money.

I think I understand what your trying to do but think of it this way. Sell the intake and just buy what you need

Oh yeah I'm not trying to be cheap, just wondering If I could do that because it is piping.. Is it because it's too big a round instead of cooler piping which is skinnier?

U can use the filter only and get a custom piping done from the turbo the intercooler pipping has nothing to do with it.. Hope this helps

That is exactly what I did... mine works perfectly... I didn't use the AEM one though...

No big deal - so long as the pipe fits where you need it to (mine was exactly right), why not?

Don't listen to the haters that have no clue... sorry guys, but if you don't know, don't assume it won't work...

Yea it would work but if someones making your piping I'm sure you they would include an intake pipe so I would sell it and put that torwards more parts. I was thinking something similar with my old SRT intake but I sold it for enough money to get all new piping

If thats a true AEM intake you can still sell it to another IS300 owner and still make back some money.
