Love it... especially being that there is a good reason for it - engine is moved back far enough and is lighter, making the weight distribution much better, at least it should...

That is an interesting swap....you're right about balance though. Probably a lot more room to work under the hood too. Plenty of space for a ginormous turbo and intercooler.

if talking four cylinder swaps, I would stick with a 3S before anything else, still, to each their own I guess

you mean like 3s-gte? like the motor, but the 4g63 dsm powerplant is kinda like the 2JZ - pretty much bulletproof from the factory, and once you build it, its hard to hurt... I think there is someone making north of 1500 hp on one,,, not that the 3s-gte is a bad motor, but, there is 100x more support for the 4g63 motor out there

Yeah, for me its coming down to ease. The 3SGE Beams motor is a factory motor, nothing out of the ordinary and is meant to be in our chassis. On top of the fact that they are very strong as well, and can make the builders goal of 600ish hp. Just seems more sensible, but I am by no means a mitsu guy.

If you do 4G63 swap might as well do AWD too.

Would be sick to see AWD Turbo IS300

Different thats for sure, but 4G63's are soo unreliable.... something always breaks... My old 97 GSX was just a driveway queen thats for sure.

While I definitely agree the cars are unreliable, the motor itself is one of the most reliable for big power...

Yea the most unreliable depending if u bought a used POS that most likely never had maintenance done. I came from dsm's and my last one before was a holset powered and Cammed convertible gst DD Reliable as hell and was my 13th dsm in the past 7 yrs just because i liked them went through them as cheap toys. Back to topic , looks like a nice build , to each their own.
