I would say its not hard at all, Some parts are pricey, but as far as basic maintenance, no problem. What are you looking to do?

question is vague. in general i will say its not as easy or cheap as say a honda but its fairly straight forward. its a lot easier to work on than the 2nd gen.

^this.

Parts aren't that expensive, very reasonable. The car is very nice to work out. Lots of DIY's around.

i would say this car is medium difficulty to work on... its not as easy as per-say a honda civic inline4 but its not as difficult as a BMW 545i. Room under the hood is reasonable. Most basic maintenance is easy. If you want to know if its hard to do something specifically im sure someone on here has been there, done that so we can tell u how long it takes.

I wish the spark plugs were as easy to change as a honda's
