Default Performance upgrade for 2006 IS 250

Guys I need a lot of help! I just picked up my first 2006 IS-250 RWD pritty much loaded with 47k miles.
What gives the 350 more power than the 250? is the engin a biger bore or is it all in the electronics. How can i get more power on the cheep. If you have a first hand track record I could use some help. Not tring to build a hot road just want more when passing and changing lanes and better fule. Thanks for the help in addvance!!

This should be posted in the 2IS section. The 250 is a 2.5L V6 with 204hp and 185lbft with direct injection. The 350 has a 3.5L V6 with 306hp and 277lbft with direct injection and multi port injection. But to answer your question, the only "performance" upgrades you can do are intake, exhaust, midpipe, headers, sticker tires. Enjoy the car for what it is, because if you choose it for tuning, you chose the wrong car

Thanks For the bad news! SO ! not even a chip will help ? what air intake is the best, and when you say exhaust, Midpipe are you talking about the hole system or just one part. Im new to the club so if im in the wrong place how do I get to the correct one. Thanks

Most people here run Joe-z intake best bang for your buck. Other go with F-sport for more of a sound reason. As for all the exhaust there axle-back only which is just the rear section. Some people buy the mid pipe which is the other half to having a full catback. But the mid pipe just make your exhaust louder if you like that. Not much on HP. Post in the performance section of IS Second Gen not the IS first Gen where it should be. Best thing you can do is PPE header, Exhaust and Intake.
