Would you trade a 2000 ES300 w/85k for a 2001 IS300 with 80k?.....

IS is considered the lowest on paper but on performance looks and everything else people want in a car I think it's higher than the ES

Some folks prefer ES, hence Lexus sells loads of them Nothing wrong with them, comfy, reliable... But, I prefer the IS... A little smaller interior but the ride makes up for it

Not really, they are both entry level cars aimed at two different types of buyers. Your average IS owner probably wouldn't be happy with an ES, and your average ES owner probably won’t be cross-shopping the IS..

That said, go for the IS!
