Just replaced the Starter on my is300
Hey guys!
So I was ready to set off to the O.C. Fair this weekend and was greeted with an inoperable is300 Thankfully, all that needed to be replaced was the starter so I ordered the proper parts and replaced the faulty starter within an hour or so If any of you guys need to replace the starter in your is300 in the near future then feel free to refer to this succinct write-up on the job:
--Reference Materials--
IS300 starter diagram
--Remove or disconnect the following--
Negative cable
Starter connector
Nut, and disconnect the starter wire
2 bolts and starter
--To install--
Installation is the reversal of the removal procedure.
Tighten the starter bolts to 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).
Remove or disconnect the following:
Negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds before performing any other work
Starter connector
Nut, and disconnect the starter wire
2 bolts and starter
--To install--
Installation is the reversal of the removal procedure.
Tighten the starter bolts to 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).
That's pretty much the procedure in its entirety. Let me know if there's any steps that I missed!
