NEW to CL: IS300 SportX Help
I have a 2003 IS300 Sportcross with approx. 75k on it. I have enjoyed driving this car tremendously! Other than changing oil or simple things, I'm not handy with diagnosing or repairs. Recently, my front left wheel has been making some wobbly noises although it steers straight. Two shops have told me that I need to have the lower front control arm replaced as well as wheel bearing work. During all this, I replaced my shocks (KYB). The indy mechanic who replaced the shocks checked the lower control arm and said it looked good except for some minor edge tears on the bushing. He also added that the probable cause of the wobbly noise is the camber setting of the wheel. One of the shops told me that they couldn't adjust the camber until the control arm and wheel bearing work was done. Is this true?
To compound all this, my Check Engine Light and Trac Off is now flashing/on.
I'm now trying to decide a course of action and would like to get advice from anyone. Are these problems related? I'd like to keep my car and get it the good care it deserves - Help!

well you need to check the codes at a local auto zone or advanced and tell us what they are. As for the control arm, dont even waist your time and get urself a nice used one off ebay for like $100 and it already comes with a bearing in it. The mechanic should not charge you more than $50 to replace it because it is literally held in by 3 joints and is quick to remove for someone who knows what they are doing. I also dont think your dash light code would have to do with your wheel problem because the only sensor I know of up there is your ABS sensor and I dont think that would pick anything like that up
