Hi All!

I just purchased an IS last week and just joined the forums.

Not sure if I will mod this yet, but the options are there which is an added bonus.
I am familiar with the JZ platform as I had a MK3 Supra that i did a 1JZ/single swap build on years ago. Also built some other cool turbo stuff like a Built Turbo Integra type R back in the day and build evo and some other stuff.

Hopefully I can learn more about the IS here and maybe help out as I am fairly technical. I been browsing here and there for a week on here to see whats up.

Now onto pics because without pics it didnt happen!
Its an 05. Came with some goodies like an alarm with remote start, headunit, siruis and ipod hooked up, tints.
Paint needs a little TLC on the front bumper and hood, but she runs good! 84000 miles so timing belt will need to be done soon.
These pics were from before I restored the headlights. I also had to tinker with the stereo a little to get it working right. Last user had the settings all funky and gains low on the metra box so it was horrid to say the least!

Other than that its kinda plain jain.
BTW I hate the pinstriping and plan to remove once I get daring enough to do so. They are painted on.

I have to agree that the pinstriping has to go. Happy modding.

lol. . . I tried to use PM-Performance like I do on all my other sites and they wont let me use it here. I went to my backup which was itr206 from many moons ago because its easy for me to remember.
Im on too many damn forums to make up diff names.

Thanks for the kind words guys. So far I like it much better than my S60 2.5T driving wise and performance wise. Feature wise and comfort of seats it cant hold a wick to my Volvo, but I knew this going in.
Gas mileage really sucks which I figured it would be bad, but my freaking modded Supra got better gas mileage. hahahahah. Ill cope with it though.

The wheel finish is sketchy so I am probably going to strip them down a little and paint them gunmetal over the weekend to try and hide some of the blems a little better.
Pinstriping I gotta look into wetsanding them off.
I claybarred it and did some light scratch removal the other night, but I wanna get a full fledged detail and some wetsanding to remove some of the shoddy touch up work that someone did prior

Ill have to check that out. I got the 3M kit for the headlights and worked good. I got a 3M scratch and chip removal kit today to try too. Didnt know they made an eraser setup.
google here i come!!

EDIT****** Looks like that tool works great on stick on stripes, but useless on painted stripes from what I see.
