Painting Brake Calipers
Is there something about that on the forum? If not, i was wondering...what takes less time, taping them up and painting them, or taking them off and painting them. Also I heard its better to brush on then spray, is that true?
My is300 is blue, i was thinking of painting the calipers white....think that would look good?

Yeah blue, white or red should look pretty good.
Personally I would go blue or red, since white won't stay white very long....
It's easy to take the calipers off, putting them back on is a whole nother story...
I think most people just do the tape method because it takes less time.
I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it (spray or brush).
Whatever you prefer, me personally I used spray and I like the outcome.
And it's still holding up strong and still looks like new for like a year now...

Whichever method you use, remove the pads and clips before you start painting. It ends up looking like a much cleaner job. If you decide to remove the brakes, you might as well have them powder coated.
Here's a pic of mine: G2 brush on after grinding & sanding the caliper and bracket smooth.

Alright so I painted them white and here is the result (I have not had time to wash the rim as you can tell lol) anyway im pleased with the result, BUT one word of advice, dont paint them white unless you can paint good. Reason is, not because they get dirty (which they do) but because it took like 7 coats to make them white white. And as a result, when you look at them, you cant really see the metal texture of the caliper, it looks kinda weird i guess, a little cheap. but overall they look better than before i think. let me know what you think.

if you spray clear coat over your white caliper and sticker it should help save some headaches.
The more layers of clear coat you spray the better off you are (especially since you have white).
White is definitely unique, gotta give you credit for that!

I would spray them..sand them to remove any oils and imperfections and use paint thinner to remove any oils..I plan to do them myself as well..and I used the spray method in my previous cars and it worked flawlessly..
