My alpine 10 disc changer reads mp3s, it is controlled by the head unit, but they may make one that is universal, just think, 10 CDs full of mp3s.

He didn't ask about your Alpine player. He asked about our STOCK player. As to the question in hand, no it doesn't play mp3s.

Are you asking if the is300 cd player will play mp3 files burned onto a cd? If so, YES.

He can get an adapter and use an Alpine MP3 changer to play Mp3's. Least I know I can do that for my TL, not sure about our IS. I haven't looked into it, but I'm sure there is an adapter for a Lex. I know of quite a few ppl who have kept the stock head unit and hooked up an alpine changer to the TL.

It was an impulse buy, at the dealer, saw it, got it, didn't do any research. I live at a really high altitude, 5800ft, so it takes a lot to make a noticeable difference in performance. That being said, the butt dyno tells me it added a little on the mid to high rpms, but then again, I have 400 miles on the car, so that could also just be breaking in. nice thing is it is reuseable, and they can't blame any warranty issues on the filter since they sold it to me. I am pretty sure you will get better gains from a performance intake, but I like drop-ins since you don't lose a lot of low end like on some intakes. On my prelude I run a stock air box with all the silencer and crap in the bumper (there is a lot), and a drop in k&n also, no loss down low and moderate gains in the mid-high. It's all what you are going fo I suppose.
