Default True Story (is300)

Alright guys, i dont really care if anyone believes me or not, but this is true.

Today i was traveling from Virginia to Massachusetts (about 8 hour drive, around 550 miles for me). I was the only person in the car, but had bags with me, my tool box, and a few other stuff with everything together probably weighing a total of about 150lbs. Before I left, i filled up full tank, ETHANOL FREE 93 gas. And when I say full tank, i mean to the point where i could see fuel when i looked in the tank, another drop and it would have spilled out.

The road to Massachusetts isnt downhill. Had to travel up and back down two mountains, so the road is pretty average. I was driving about 70mph for the most part. I cleared my miles before I left Virginia, to see how much I would get on a full tank. I started running out of gas when I was in Connecticut, below is a picture I took at the gas station when I stopped to fuel up. My gas light wasnt even on, and I had already driven !!428 miles!! on ONE TANK! Now I dont know if its because of the fuel I used, or what, but im impressed! What do you guys think, pretty crazy eh??

Typical tank lasts me 300-350, less in the cold and lots of short distance trips. I used to get 400-415 when I was doing very long drives, but that was about the time the red light came on.

When the fuel light comes on - I believe you have 30 miles to find a gas station before it runs out of gas.

So it looks like you could have gone another 30-50 miles...
Good stuff man!

Totally believe your story, I drove my IS all the way to Las Vegas in three days and could not believe how long I could go, before stopping for gas!
