Is this a good price?
Hey all, I saw a 2005 IS300 Bluestone with tan/suede interior, but A/T with only 45k miles. Tires are in great condition, body is about 9/10. Interior is mint and has a IPOD hook up. They are asking $16.5. Is that too much? The car seems to be well taken care of. They said they would have it professionally detailed in and out before handing over the keys. I saw this car locally.
Input please

I'd try to talk them down to 16k at the least. Tires look good and so on? Also as a professional detailer myself I'd might ask them whom they plan on having the car detailed and do your research on that person or companies work. I've fixed more so called "detailers" hack jobs in my area then I have customers cars. Thats fine with me because in the long run I've earned someones life long business!

Sounds legit to me, as long there is no leaks or squeaks. And the tranny shifts smoothly.
Things to check for, does it have nav; heated seats; all leather, or suede/leather; have 2 master keys and 1 valet keys.
have records of all services and are they the 1st owners
If any of those are missing or limited too. You can ask for $15k. If they dont, then look else where. $16k will be with everything I listed above.
Good Luck
Tru, but you have to consider that the IS300 is rare by design. You dont see many cars out there with the IS300 body lines.
On the other hand, the ISX50 could be mistaken as a GS or ES. Cus of the body lines look similar to the unknown Lexus eyes.
But thats me though

It doesnt come with Nav, the wife said she doesnt need it cause she can just use her brain, and she commented on how her husband gets lost and has to have it in all his cars or his phone. Interesting couple
The seats are leather/suede, not heated. They only have 1 master key, thats all they received from the previous owner. Since they bought it they have only done the IPOD hook up and oil changes. Its just not what they wanted in a car because of the premium gas and the MPG. The wife said the husband wanted one since they came out, so they bought it for her. They did have something that made me smile, it was the window sticker.

Why did the window sticker make you smile? Pics?
Yeah IS3FTW is right 16k is high for IS300 with non heated leather/suede seats. That's kind of like a base model IS300 then if it doesn't have heated seats.
Also the deal with the keys and navigation, I donno it just seems like the price they want is for an IS300 in perfect condition with all options. I mean yeah KBB says $16 exact, but you it doesn't give you option to add or deduct value for heated seats and keys.
I'd say $15k is a good price also
Think about yourself man, what if you buy this car for $16k then something bad happens and you have to resell the car..? Do you think you will get 16k easily? Nope.. The people selling this car will sit on this car for a long time if they aren't willing to budge on price.

The original window sticker is always a good sign. Keeping the window sticker is a sign that you really love your car and look after it. The fact that a 2 owner car has this means it has been well kept. I always keep my window stickers too.

It's low mileage and a rare color but that's a lot of coin for an IS300. I have both an new and old and if I could only have one it would be the 350 for sure. I have been trying to sell my 350 for "Average Trade In Value" and have had no luck. With that being said you should be able to get this 05 for $13,000 or so.
