I didn't click because the link has a bunch of asteriks (sp?) in it..seems sketchy. Anyway they is no chip for the IS300. We don't have vtec and our engine codes don't start with B,D,F,H or K. Have fun with modding your IS. :P

Just buy the SRT intake kit. Comes with a race ecu piggy back tuned out of the box

^That's partially incorrect. The "race ecu" is to trick the stock ecu for the larger diameter intake being used. You have to have supporting mods to make the 17hp or so.

Forgive me. I may have confused someone. I should have put quotes around the "race ecu" as thats what srt calls it. It is a piggy back and it does come tuned out of the box.

Your still saying "it's a piggy back and it comes tuned out the box"...lol. I'm not trying to be difficult but it's not. It's just made to compensate for the 4" intake pipe and will not trip a CEL and have the car not run right.

exactly right. It's a piggy back for the intake. Which in turns generate a little more hp. It is tuned right out of the box for the intake. If it wasn't tuned for it you would have problems and it's to compensate for the extra air intake and not run lean.
Better yet what is your definition of a piggy back?

sorry about the link i dont know why it did that.... What kind of supporting mods are talking about. headers?? exhaust ?? and is it possible to put the car on a dyno with the srt intake on an further tune through that black box ? or is it only there to keep the engine light off ?? thanks guyss

I'm also curious about this. I recently picked up an '04, and am curious as to what I can do to unlock more power/torque from this beauty. It has an intake, headers, and full exhaust on it, but it isn't tuned for the mods. Or at least I am guessing that it why my engine light is on, and my track off light flashes constantly... what can I do to unlock the full power potential of these mods, and fix those lights?

Most likely you have a CEL due to not having an o2 simulator for deleting the cats on the header.
