sc,gs auto tranny's for 1g IS?

*so i think i found something, my situation is not so scary anymore!
if anyone knows if the other 2jzge automatic transmissions can fit an IS i would still like to know..

I am in desperate need of a tranny and with limited funds it isnt so fun.
I moved to montgomery,al from S.F. a couple months ago and have no friends or any parts source here so with hopes of a better search i would like to know if i can use gs300 or sc300 auto tranny's with my 2001 auto is300?

i live on an air force base and i have A LOT of things to do so my car needs to be running soon....

i'm not looking for you should or it should, why dont you etc...vauge answers aren't really answers but useless public rant that help nothing but your post count... im in a real bind and looking for serious help...

i can either use it or not with slight mods or parts transfer from the is tranny...
i tried searching and came up with junk, i'm still searching now but figured it would be benificial to also create a thread to help in my hunt....

any HELP is appreciated!

if you look hard enough you can find 1st gen IS trans between 350-500 shipped. Is that still too much for you?

Also not sure if the trans computer would enjoy having a 4spd auto non eshift trans in the car...

i found a couple tranny's about 2.5 hours away from me for 300 each and they're both from is300's so i think that i'm gonna have to go with one of them..
