Default Intro about me and question on wheels

Im kinda late but Im like 3 weeks old in this forum and didnt introduce myself. My name is Ray, i am 20 years old, and im from socal (LA). I just picked up an 02 IS300 earlier this month and im sorta getting to like the car. I wanted a GS but all the ones i found had like 200k+miles on it so i just picked up an IS300 cus i really needed a car. This isnt my first car but its actually the first car i bought with my own money =) im proud of myself haha. I hope to meet new friends on this forum! Well, Im kinda going into the "vip" look on my car cus i dont wanna spend a lot of money on boosting a honda and getting it jacked or becoming a big headed honda guy...Well, so if you guys can please help me out =) I was wondering if you guys can help me with rim fitment on my IS300...

I found a Set of LUFF M1 wheels for a GS300 but i was wondering if it will fit my IS... My IS300 as of rite now is bone stock but have tein flexs on its way and planning on putting it on friday if it isnt raining... The guy doesnt know the offsets but it comes out looking pretty clean on his gs300. The wheel size is 20x9 front 245/35/20 and 20x10.5 rear 275/35/20. I know its kinda BIG for an IS but its the only set of wheels i can find for my IS that I actually like and is in my price range.

Please let me know asap if it wont fit or if it will rub....

is the wheels on his car.

20s are way too big, knowing the gs300 they usually run much more aggressive offsets than the is300

any offset under +30 on at 10.5" rim would require fender modifications esp w/ a 275 tire

just tell the guy to find the center line in the inside rim and measure that distance to the inside hub on back of the face to find the offset

i wouldnt waste your time trying to figure out the offset. its not gonna fit. my guess is the offsets are something like +22

go look for another set. Luff wheels are fairly cheap so you should be able to find something similar. Luff, Linea Corsa, Privat all make the same BBS knockoff wheel

With those wheels you won't really be able to drop your car with those Type Flex. 18s or 19s should be what you are looking for. Keep looking, you will find a nice set for the IS300.

19's if you want a conservative drop (2" - 2.5")

18's if you want to slam it 3"+

whats the best wheel setup you can have on the IS without rolling/pulling fenders size 19s?

Don't do 20s dude they're way too big for an IS. More than likely they won't fit with those big *** tires any way. And Baadhabit is right about the offset.

Don't be scared to roll and pull. It's quite easy so long as you have patience and beer. LOL.

Wheels can wait for now but the Luff bbs reps, i just found it for a decent price thats why i asked...
