Yes, they are Denso. I would get one from Carquest, their OE line o2 sensor for your car would be Denso, I would not recommend getting bosch.

I got the same sensor the other day. My car is only 45,000 miles and i had the same code. I reset the code and it never came back.

I ask my mechanic whats wrong with that code, there are two things that might cause it to happen,
1) The weather is very cold and I did not warm up the car and I started driving. Something about the o2 sensor needs to warm up or it gives wrong reading.

2) Use only premium gas 93. He said if you use cheap gas it could dirty the o2 sensor.
He suggested to use fuel injectors.

After I reset the o2 sensor. I have been warming up my car thoroughly. The o2 sensor code did not come back on.

With 45,000 miles on your car you should not need fuel injection cleaning, plus using premium 93 octane gas should keep your fuel system pretty clean. Sounds like you may have a bad o2 sensor, it is hard to tell as it could take 20 or 30 or more/less key cycles for the CEL to come back on and throw the code up again. Also when it throws a code up for the heater sensor circuit, that generally means that o2 sensor is faulty and needs replaced.

Yea I hope the o2 sensor is not faulty -_- so $$$

Would fuel injectors mess up my car? not really sure because I get mix reviews. Some people say its good, improves mpg, clean fuel injectors etc. some people say too much additives is not good.

I already bought it for like $4 bucks, now I'm debating if I should pour it in?

You can't fix a bad sensor with $4 cleaner. A bulls/^T fix yeilds bulls/^T results. You can get the sensor reasonably cheap on ebay.

Yes, your o2 sensor is bad. As I said in my earlier post it just took the magic number of key cycles for the CEL to come back on. With 45,000 miles and assuming you run premium gas your fuel system should not be very dirty, if any at all. Bad o2 sensors may affect your gas mileage and how your car runs, rough idle and etc. There are no fuses for your o2 sensor.

Your welcome man, yea emissions inspections suck. Here where I am in Va emissions inspections have not hit us yet knock on wood, I hope they don't anytime soon. As of now in my part of Va we just have annual state inspections.

Unhappy O2 sensors

Does anyone have clear photos on where these 4 sensors are located? I have a bad one somewhere in my 98, but I am going to do all 4. I am told that once 1 sensor goes, the rest will follow soon enough.... I want to do this myself because I know Lexus will ask for 2 arms and a leg to do this work... plus I know these sensors are not cheap!!! Thanks!!!

Rock

Anyone here done this thenselves yet?>? DIY??
