How Fast Can You Go?
I never liked the 1st gen IS, but I'm slowly getting it, and I actually found an 03 Is300 that i think looks nice (black leather and nav, i love it).
Anyway, the car has 215hp, and im not so sure exactly what the time is for the car from 0-60.
But how fast can you get your car to go? How much power can you get from the is300?

From what I remember reading for the stock IS300, 0-60 is around 7 seconds and the speed limiter is around 144mph. Manufacturer's spec says the engine is rated at 215hp, but it is de-tuned to put out about 180ish hp.

your best bet on going fast would be to save up some money and go for the GTE swap or a turbo kit for the IS. as far as basic mods go, from what i have read up on with i/h/e some cams and a tune, maybe a little extra, i want to say ive seen members with around 270hp (dont hold me to that). i would focus on suspension personally, whats the point in going fast in a straight line if you cant handle the upcoming turn?

yea i think you can get around 270 hp with the right mods without turboing it. it's time is supposed to be around 6.8 seconds 0-60 however with the right mods I think you can probably make the number somewhere around 6 seconds, just depends on conditions and your mods and take off and etc.
