Default Headers, brakes, intake help

I've been thinking about doing some more work to my car but don't know much about is300 parts and wanted to know if you guys could give me some suggestions. I was thinking about getting new headers brakes and maybe an intake.

Cali is tough on modding cars due to all those carb restrictions. you may want to try to get some input from CA guys.

for intakes, i would generally suggest a SRT intake but i dont think its carb certified so that may not work. im thinking injen or K&N but those probably dont produce much.

header, i dont think you can do either because there are cats on the actual header. once you remove the cats youre no longer carb whatever

brakes you have lots of options from stoptech, brembo, rotora etc. im currently running the rotorra oem replacements with hawk pads. theyve served me well. personally i wouldnt do drilled because the drill holes crack over time and there is no resurfacing

for parts shopping there tons of vendors, ebay etc one suggestion would be Carson Toyota www.l-tunedparts.com/index.php theyre also a vendor on this board.

LMS intakes are carb cert...if you can still find one, can call them and see if they have any leftovers in the warehouse.

as baadhabit said...headers...since the cats are part of the headers...you really can't do anything with cali emissions. you can run 02 sims, but if they run a sniffer on your tailpipe..you're pretty much screwed. (not familiar with CA rules, MA is pretty much close to it...)

brakes, all depends on how you want to approach it...i would suggest anything over oem, depends if you want to replace or resurface rotors after 30k. anything drilled/slotted you can't resurface, just a fair warning. if you don't want to spend a whole lot...unlike me(went with full project mu two piece, about $1k)..you can go with power slot rotors or brembo replacements rotors and hawk pads which are all on tirerackdotcom. all depends on your budget and how you want to do things after 30k
