I am thinking about buying a 2002 IS300 with a fully built motor done by trd with a t66 turbo and a 6 speed trans. The car has 12000 miles and is a complete sleeper, They want somewhere around 20k is it worth it? Is it worth more? Thanks in advance for any imput.

WOW 12,000 miles and a fully built motor thats worth it. That is CHEAP! 6 speed trans you cant go wrong with it. i would buy!!

Fully built motor, I'm assuming it is a GTE head and block since it has 6 speed trans.
That's pretty sweet. Very rare & soo little miles.
You don't like your 2010 lexus is350? I'd rather have a 2nd gen IS

no way. 2nd gen body style is pretty boring. too "ES" looking. plus with all those recalls

2000LEX, post the link to the For Sale posting with all the details. is it a complete GTE swap or NA-T? 12K miles sounds too good to be for a 02. my guess its 12k on the motor, or since the build, not the car.

if the car is clean and the turbo build is good quality 20k sounds like a steal. as baadhabit said post the link or some pictures or something so we can see. theres just such a wide price range on turbo cars all depending on the quality of the build and the product brands they went with building it.

I bet they were beat all to hell though
Didn't even waste my time checking them out because I knew it wasn't gonna be good.....

ive driven one. and ive seen pics of them modded before too. all you can do to 2nd gen is rims and a drop and youre done. happy modding. rather have a gen one, the last of the 2Js.

If its a legit build and with only 12k miles, it sounds like a good price. Even more so with the V160's doubling in price for a new one :x

I love my 10 IS im just thinking of adding tis to my collection. I personally drove the car so yes it is legit. I dont belive the dealer has the car offered for sale yet. But thanks to all who replied i will see what i can do.
