i tried searching for similar tread but couldnt find any, so here is my problem. my lexus is300 is making a whistle form the engine i listened to it and sounds like its coming from the rear part of the intake manifold. the car only makes the whistle noise when the vehicle is stop and when you drive goes away but comes back as soos as your off the accelerator, also i notice that if you disconnect a vacuum hose from the intake manifold and wait a few seconds nosie goes away but comes back when you connect the vacuum hose and rev the engine, im lost, any suggestion would help, thanks.

I noticed this too. I'm a new owner, so I thought it was just normal.

sounds like a bad vacuum leak to me..has the manifold ever been off?

as far as i know the intake manifold has not been taken off car only has 63000 miles on it im the second owner so not sure previous owner could have taken it off.
