Help Offset and Tire Question.
Hi guys, I have checked and searched the forums about wheel fitment and such. I would rather have a personal active thread about it. Yes I am very new too wheel fitment and scared. I want everything to go correctly for this part in my car.
Which of these offsets would ideally fit our cars? These are potential rim sizes I am looking at. I do plan on getting coilovers as well. Would all these setups all end up in me getting fender rolls? I don't wanna run any spacers and would just like too run these sized offsets.
Please help me guys thanks
For these sized offset what tires are recommended for me to run 215 all around?
17x9.0 +30
17x9.5 +15
For these sized offset what tires are recommended for me to run 225 all around?
18x8 +30
18x9.5 +15
18x9.5 + 20 Could this offset fit with stock ride height?

Roll all four fenders, you'll need a spacer in the rear to match the front flushness.
225 will work.
17x9.5 +15
You'd have to roll then pull/flare all four fenders to fit with a 215.
18x8 +30
Fine in the front. 215/40/18
Rears won't be very flush at all.
18x9.5 + 20
Might fit if you roll then pull/flare all four.
If you are looking for flush then get a 9 +30 and 10 +30 to 10 +37 in the rear. 225 and 235 or 245. You'll have to roll all four fenders and run some negative camber, but they will be flush.
Any aggressive wheel is going to look stupid at stock ride height. You'd be better off getting coilovers first. Then get wheels.

Thanks for helping me. I really appreciate it. Yes I will be buying coilovers before rims. I just had another question how would 18x9.5 +30 fit?
I am looking for flushness. I definitly dont wanna get spacers. The setup you told me thats flush is that what you would recommend?

Twestman had 18x8 +38 and 18x9.5 +38 Work vs-xx.
He added a 10mm spacer up front, making it an 8 +28 with a 215/40/18
He added a 5mm spacer to the back making it 9.5 +33 with a 245/35/18
His front still need farther to be flush. I plan to run add a 20mm spacer to make front 8 +17. It should be flush then.
His rear was pretty much perfect. That was with a 245/35 too. If you went to a 235/40 you would have even more room with a 9.5 +30. (+30 and +33 are 3mm different)
My suggestions for flush would be like this...
8 +16 with a 215/40/18
9 +19 with a 225/40/18
8.5 +22 with a 215/40/18
9.5 +25 with a 235/40/18
9 +29 with a 225/40/18
10 +32 with a 235/40/18
Twestman bought new wheels and did a test fit of the rear 18x10 +38 with a 5mm spacer (making it a 10 +33)
This, is also a picture of my 9 +37 with a 5mm spacer (making it a 9 +32) up front with a 235/40/18.
If you use the formula in this thread...
http://my.is/forums/f95/guide-wheel-...i-need-393288/
You will see that all of those end up with almost exactly the same fitment (within 1mm). So either one would be the same flushness.
And for more flushness... This is Da2Is 18x9 +30 with a 225/40/18 and 18x10 +33 with a 235/40/18.

Keep in mind, fitment varies depending on camber settings and tires. One 215/40/18 might not be the exact same as another 215/40/18. And we all have rolled fenders, which might make the same wheel fit slightly different too.

No problem. Just be ready to do some fender rolling lol. You'll need to run a good amount of negative camber too.
And you might consider a 225/40/18 in the back. It's going to be close no matter what, but the smaller tire would make things a little easier.
You also might want a spacer up front. But you can always add that later. Good luck, and I hope you have some stiff(ish) coilovers!
