Can some one tell me what is so special of the IS300 Twin Cam Engine? I don't know much about engines but is this a good engine?

What is the difference between the IS300 and the IS250 engine?

I bought last week a 2005 IS300 and I am a novist and want to learn. Do I have a good engine in this car?

we have the 2jz-ge motor in our IS300, its an inline-six configuration, similar motor to the gs300, sc300, and toyota supra...its been around for awhile, and is very reliable!

the is250 has a V6 motor, i dunno much about that motor, so i couldnt tell you

Basically the motor in your is300 can handle gobs of power with supraTT internals and a headgasket.

2JZ owns them a 5spd IS300 will smoke a IS250 stick tell you from experience haha..

I dont know about this one. I have a IS300 and my brother has a is250.
I get around 17mpg city and my brother about 15mpg.

^He must drive like a nut.. even just driving my 250 around town for most of a tank I average atleast 20mpg. My Is300 well maybe 11mpgs. haha

YA and the 2GZ is easily upgradable while the X50 isn't as the engine bay is SO crammed with electronics and piping and such, take the engine cover of a X50, what a mess.

The IS 250 is not for speedsters, you bought the wrong car. Its a very efficient, quiet engine. With the manual or automatic shifters, its quite fun as you have to stay in the right gear if you want to "go".....

The IS 300 is faster but its not OMG faster...

The IS 350 is that engine
