Default Fuel light

Just a thought......I am sitting here at work and remember that I have to put gas in my car...

What's the most miles you driven on your IS300 when the fuel light comes on?

I have 12 miles on it right now but got up to 26...

It is easy, look up the max miles you can go when the fuel light comes on.

Usually the light goes on when you have about 2 or 3 gallons remaining...
If your car is 20mpg then you can drive about 40 miles until you are sitting on the side of the road.
I'd suggest looking it up in the manual to find out at what point the fuel light comes on before trying this though....

Or just play it smart and keep your tank full...
Letting your car run out of gas and it can cause problems.
Even if you put $20 premium in there you get at least half a tank.
hehe quit being cheap.

the is300 comes with a 17.5 gallon gas tank. the light comes at 15 gallon. so you have roughly 2.5 gallons left. depending on how you drive your IS and what gas milage you get then that decides how far you can go. all info from my.is

Thanks everyone for responses! I know I could easily look it up, but just wanted to hear from actual IS owners.
