Someone correct me if I'm mistaking, but wasn't the '01 only avaliable with the automatic transmission? 5spd was a '02-'05 option.

that is correct. 01 was auto only....unless someone did a swap

To be honest. I get 260 MPT and I'm like 95+ city driving. And thats on all 17.5 gallons, at normal to minimal agressive driving. I am somewhat dissapointed with that. But it's a hella lot better than a 5.9L Dodge Ram if your asking for a road comparison here lol.

As far as the car it self. If you take care of it, you'll love it. 5spd red IS is one of my favorite combos. Ive been looking for one.

It's one of those cars thats not fast, but its enough to get you in trouble. And if you take care of it you will find your self well into the 200,000 mile + range with the car down the road.


My run down...
- The IS is not like any other car I've drivin before, and I have driving everything from G35's to Vortech Silverados to Evo's to Supercharged Mini Coopers.

ok, its not fast? what would you compare it to then?

thsi car got few tasteful mods, i am not into these body kits and what not, only engine and etc mods for me


also whole stereo/hvac contraosl are torn out, so there is this big **** whole on dash, looks so bad but idk if i get it for cheap i be set and just drive it liek that for lil bit

well the IS300 isnt slow or anything but its not quick uh dont know what to compare it to but i keep up with a Civic Si for a little unless the know how to shift haha

but the IS300 is fast when turboed! because the motor is ment to be boosted!
