Default Spark Plugs

I am going to be changing my valve cover gaskets this weekend as they seem to be leaking quite a bit and producing a horrible smell but while i have it apart i am going to change the spark plugs also.

What type of spark plugs do you recommend amd what should i gap them at.

The car is completely stock and always ran on 93 octane.

Thanks in advance.

The best brand for the IS300 is the DENSO OEM Replacement that came from the Factory.

DENSO SK16R-P11 - Iridium Plug -- Long life and good for 90K miles

- Toyota /Lexus Part # 90919-01219

Should run you about $8-$10 at your local Toyota Parts Dept
It will be More at Lexus....

I will back this up as I changed out mine on my IS300. Dealer usually wants $500-$600 for this job as the whole intake manifold must be removed but is not that bad of a project. There are many vacuum lines, throttle linkage, and sensors that need to be removed as well. The clips for the top of the 2JZGE plugs are delicate and can break easily, be careful. Use only these Denso Iridium listed above.
