Default programming keys

My ignition was busted. So I replaced and it came with 2 keys. I put the old chip in the new key and was able to start the car but will not lock the door. when the key is out, the indicator sound turns on , it thinks the key is still in the ignition. please help. thanks in advance.

hmm ... that's a confusing one ... do both keys act this way?

check the manual about resetting the keys (i dont kno if its in there but its worth a shot) maybe there's a sequence of buttons to push to make it understand
