Just bought an is300 and need to replace the SERPENTINE BELT cause it's starting to tear. Can anyone help me out with finding a FREE service manual or telling me how to do it? Thanks

free service manual ... some how i think that seems unlikely unless someone has one and can scan it for ya ... but i dont think i've ever seen a service manual for our cars ... tho i'm sure they exist

note: i am aware of how useless this post was ... but it will have bumped your post up in the 'new posts' search

PM lobuxracer . he seems to have a lot of the tech info on PDF's and has helped me on the 2IS before. Hope that helps you out.

Another member you can try is Brian231 as he had a 1st gen and a 2nd gen and is very good with the cars.

Good Luck
Mike

I did this the first day I had my IS. It's very easy, the only tool you need is a belt tensioner and I believe you can rent those for $20 at any auto parts stores.
