I know...Another thread about "buying an IS300"
I found an 03 with navigation at a dealership(mercedes, so its not certified, and has no warrenty), it has 74k miles basically looks new cept for a few small knicks around the car, and it also has some old speakerwire from an amp hanging in the trunk.
They are asking 19k, and Im trying to get them to go to 17k, does this sound do-able? I know that seems like high mileage, maybe too high?
The other thing I noticed, the rear arm rest goes straight to the trunk, theres no cover that I could find, shouldnt there be one?
Im trying to find stuff to make them lower the price, so far I have the knicks around the body, the "missing" trunk/arm rest cover, and also, they cant seem to tell me how many keys come with the car
Other then all that, it drives awesome, no other quirks, but they keep saying they cant do less then 18k TTL, because money *MIGHT* have been spent to buy tires, and what not, YET THEY WONT TELL ME WHAT WAS BOUGHT FOR THE CAR.
Any help guys?

I beg to differ. if you think so, then show me some, because everything else I find they want 22-25k
(if you didint notice, I said navigation.)
KBB says a car of this mileage should go for 16-17k, so if I actually got it for that ammount, whats to say I paid too much?
Anyone else want to chime in?
How about for my other questions?

A month ago, I purchased me 2002 IS300. It had 81,800 miles when purchased. (I understand it is a little more than the one you are looking at). It came with tinted windows, the rear spoiler, as well as a kenwood sub in the trunk. It does not look like it has 82 thousand miles at all. I purchased it for $12,500, and since it was a private sale, there was no tax.
Hope this helps

I think houston is a bad place to find private sellers. we have turned into a stirring pot of immigration from the north, and now all we have are *****y *******s who act as if they are million dollar stars, and shouldnt have to lower their standards for something like private sell, so they go through a dealership, no matter how much money they might go under.
