Unhappy arm rest retro-fit kit ?

Has anyone tried or know if a 'kit' is available for installing the arm rest in my '01 ? .......Seems like it would be pretty staight forward I asked the parts counter at Lexus of Portland...as usual...they were f#*k heads about it ...and said they had never heard of doing it....by they way..when I got my Lexus owner survey I totally slammed the dealer....they suck...they are the only Lexus dealer for like 200 miles...and they act like it too....when I purchase my wife's GS430 next year...we will drive to Seattle...and buy from another dealer

Hi Brian,

Would you have the name and number of your dealer contact? I'd like to give him a call, my dealer in Ottawa knows nothing about this... they say it can't be done.

Thanks!

At the Lexus of Serramonte meet last month, we raffled off a center armrest for retrofit on '01. Contact the parts dept there to order one.

I called the parts counter, they have the part...that is the armrest...but there exists no real part # for a retro-fit kit..... they had no idea of one being available

oh well, I figured it wouldn't be that easy.....

OK, ask for Derek, the service director over there and tell him I sent you. Tell him yoiu want to retrofit an armrest on an '01. He'll take care of you. I have seen it and I know it's real! One of the sales guys there also retrofitted one on his '01. Yes, it is that easy.

Actually Calvin, the armrest that was raffled at the meet was by a third party company. It wasn't a retrofit either. It was a cover/riser over the existing "armrest." If you go to is300.net and search for it, I'm sure you'll find the contact info.

Default arm rest retro-fit kit

WOW.... I would love to have this done. Does anyone have part #'s or $ on this conversion. Can I do it myself?

I do appreciate all information.
