Updates on the TRAC/ECU update?
Howdy,
I just picked up my 2001 IS last Friday night. Although I just bought it new, the car is actually an early VIN - it was used as a show car for the dealer since last December (screamin' yellow, of course!)
One of the first things that I noticed was that the traction control kicked in very easily, even on dry pavement, even without me stomping it (not done the break-in yet). Also noticed delays in acceleration from a stop, and some hesitant shifting at lower speeds.
Are these problems that would be fixed by the updates (which my VIN does qualify me for), and is there any updated feedback/comments on positive or negative experiences with the updates?
I also hope that I won't have to drive thith the tranny in PWR mode, as much of my weekday morning is spent in heavy traffic, and I don't want to burn lost of fuel having the tranny shift more aggressively.
Thanks in advance,
