I was wondering if any of you had a repair manual for the IS300, or if there even is one available yet. If any of you have one, could I ask you to scan the pages pertaining to spring installation and e-mail it to me?? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I just need the section on how to change the springs from start to end. I'm considering having a friend do the install for my springs, but he's never done an IS. So just to be on the safe side, I thought it would be better to have this manual on hand. He's changed springs many times and has all the proper equipment, but like I said, he's never done an IS 300 so I just want to be safe. If it's standard like any other car, I'll probably have him do it.

yea it is standard I can tell you that you better have a good spring compressor!!! basically heres what you have to do. Jack the car up.. under the hood remove the three bolts around the shock tower ( not the center one!!) . in the tire well remove the king nut from the top wisbone suspension pice. have a zip tie already around it so when it seperates it won't drop too far. you will have to use a rubber mallet to seperate. remaove bottom bolt and angle the strut out oh yea don't forget to remove your abs brake wire from the strut. from there it is like and other strut.
Back again remove the three nuts at the top of the tower. remove bottome bolt. Now remove two bolts in the tire well. Have someone stand on your disk rotor and remove strut. the back is a pain to get out!!!
I will get you the pages you need. Oh yea the torque specs the tower three bolts are 13 Lbs the bottome bolt on the rear is 81 Lbs and the two bolts in the tire well are 42 Lbs
