Default Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10...(m)

I do recommend that you change tires for snow (most defintely).

The Nokain Hakkapeliitta 10s are awesome tires.

I used these on a 2001 330i my wife used to have. It had the sports pack with 17" rims. I changed the tires, left the original rims, since, apparently, the 330 takes a minimum of 17" alloy rims.

These tires were superb in the Toronto winter, where it snowed a lot more than usual this year.

In the dry they were quiet, but did not grip as well as the original tires supplied with the Bimmer, but still decent enough.

I think they were better than Michelin Pilots (can't remember the exact designation) that were meant for high-performance winter - I used those on my wife's previous 328is, with 16" rims.

I hope this helps.

Currently I drive a VW Jetta VR6, but I have had a 97 Audi A4 quattro and a '00 BMW 323Ci before.

I also have a deposit on a 2002 BMW 325Ci, which is on order (6 more weeks of waiting!)

I just bought my wife a Lexus RX300, so I'm thinking of an IS300 instead. Trouble with the IS300 is that the rear seats don't fold, and the hinges in the trunk are the ones that "interfere" with the contents, unlike German cars where they have non-interfering struts.

That may not seem like a big deal to anybody, but that sort of thing bothers me when you spend that type of money.

OTOH, I may get a BMW 330Ci instead.

Still deciding.

I love the bmw handling, and i was also about to get it, i tested out the 330 but i decided to purchase the lexus instead because of there reputation of luxury and trustable beautifully made cars, plus ........ the handling on the is300 is quite incredible... bmw jus seemed a lil too much money, and i liked the package that came w/ the lexus ... but all and all both are great cars id be happy w/ any of them ...
