I Have a 2004 IS300 i recently had the clutch replaced due to bad syncro bearings. I bought the car as a demo and the bearings were off as soon as i bought the car(the clucth was replaced on warranty) . Anyways the new clutch is installed and all is well my question now is when i was talking to the service manager about my lemon i told him i wanted to make some mods to the car this spring and he told me the factory transmission can't handle and power mods! Is he full of it or have other people had this problem????? Oh ya and by the way to all you people who have clunking noise when shifting between 1-2 gear I'd like to state that the sound is now gone due to the new clutch, coincidence? That my friend is up to you.

the tranny, if in good condition, can handle up to around 350hp. so you still got room

I know this post is super old but is that clunk still gone? I have the clunk from 1->2 and 2->3.
