I am strongly considering getting a 2002 5-spd. What really pushed me to get one is the price, the fact that it comes with a 5spd, and also the rear wheel drive.

Am i right in assuming that the engine is some derivative of the Supra engine?

What is the likelihood of there ever being a turbo (or twin turbo) IS?

I once saw a 3rd gen (86-91) supra that had a same generation Supra Turbo Exhast manifold and turbo simply bolted on (with a boost dependent fuel press reglator for uel needs). Does anyone know is any generation supra has similar parts?

So far I ave only been able to find a few bolt on parts for the IS. Do you guys have links to sites that may have lots of parts (besides he usual intake, exhaust, and TRD)? I am interested in seing superchargers but would never buy one (not as fun as turbos).

My last car was a 330 hp TT rx7. I love fast reart wheel drive cars, unfortunately a new business venture as my finances in shambles so i can't aford my dream car (the new M3). No flames please.

Thanks!
Ari

Default DITTO

I am alos looking at a 5speed IS. I have been searching for some facts about Superchargers for it. Some shop called Area 51 Fabrications has one for it and TRD has one in development that should be ready in the Fall and covered under warranty. Let me know what you find out about turbos. Apparently Toyomoto has a kit that gives 400rwhp and is reliable(per this board)!? That would be awesome. Good luck.

Default TRD Sounds good

TRD sounds good to me. A waranty is always appreaciated. After all, the reason I no longer have my TT Rx7 is because I blew the engine. Even if it is a supercharger.
