looking to buy an IS
yes, im looking to buy an IS after troubles looking for a gs400.
the #1 option im looking for is NAVI
now, how rare is this option? I know it is only available on the 2002+ models.. but i dont see much out there. also, on the navi, from every picture i dont see a joystick or anything? is everything touch screen? Is the 2002+ navi updatable?
also, the seats.. what is the standard and what is the option?
is the suede in the middle standard or what?
power seats all teh way around?? or only for driver? what is standard, and what is the option??
thanks for the help

exclusive matchup
iTrader: (4)
1) nav is a bit rare but i dont' think it's that rare to find? my is300 had nav
2) the joystick is under the armrest area, taking up space of one of the cup-holder
3) no touchscreen at all. you dont' want it anyway since the nav screen is too far away to *touch*
4) you can upgrade the nav dvd
5) the standard is half leather half suede. full leather (usually with heated seats as well) is option
6) suede part is for the middle part of the seats
7) power seat for both driver and passenger. i believe it's standard, or at least on almost every is300 out there

leather/suede the standard
Yeah, the leather/ with suede seat inserts (or escaine as Lexus labels it) was pretty much the standard in the first 2 model years... although I even saw a few with CLOTH seats on the lot in the first model year (ugly).
After that they began to offer all leather and added piping around the edges of the seats. The sport design even offers an all leather in a light grey which looked pretty cool.
Nav didn't seem to be a popular configuration on the IS based on my survey of the cars sitting on the lot.
