Default 2JZ-GE weight

I'm tossing around a few project ideas, and the IS300 came up.
What's the weight of the IS300's 2JZ-GE engine fully dressed? or in long block form.
I'm debating dropping in a LS6 w/ T56 or 60/70/TH400 (with a fitting rear end and quaife diff on both) and mainly im seeing if the weights are close or how much different.

I AM NOT dissing the 2JZ, you should see how much flack is thrown in the air by bimmer/nissan/ford forums when there's a LSx transplant. I'm merely exploring options for a rather hairy/unique ballsout roadracing car. And I like the lines of the is300's body.
*flame suit on just in case*

note to mod:
this may need to be moved to the appropriate forum.

I'm not sure how much exactly it weighs... but when Rod Millen created the IS430, they said the end product was only 2lbs heavier than the IS300 donor. Granted you have to take any weight differences between the IS auto tranny and the 6-speed Getrag they threw in there, but it seems thats the 2JZ weighs about the same as the 3UZ-FE V8. When they did this swap, it was a very tight fight to get both the V8 and its radiator in. I've heard the Lexus UZ is one of the most compact V8's, so you may want to check dimensions of the Corvette LSx motor you are thinking about swapping.

The 2jz motor is not lite, but why would you take a good motor out of the car and put in that hunk of crap? I had an 02 Z06, and the 2JZ is a far better engine.

You would be better off swapping in a 2JZ-GTE with a T-78 and making over 1000hp, that is without building any part of the motor. My 2jz-gte in fully streetable form, with an SP67 turbo makes 505/478 @ 18psi on 93 pump fuel, and 702hp 628ft lbs @ 28psi with C16 race fuel. You would have to build an LS6 up so much to make 700 hp, why waste the money?

If you want to make a ***** out road racing car, the best thing you can do is stick with the 2JZ, perhaps go with a 3.4L stroker and perhaps a 66 series turbo? Your spool up would be near instant, and your boost threashold would be very low, perhaps 2500rpm? and you could still make healthy mid 600hp range power. Especially if you go with some longer duration cams.

I think MVP has the 3.4L strokers on sale right now for about 6k, and they will hold well over 1000hp.
