Here is the chart of color for the US-Spec IS300 from 2001-2005. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color.

If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car. For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

So here is my next question.... which colors are part of a special edition package only? I know the Graphite was part of a special edition.... were there other editions/colors? It's nice to have that in the notes.

Chassis codes are totally wrong.Plus the New IS is a Lexus in Japan. No more Altezza. The same goes for the GS. No more Aristo.

Whoa you got ES300's mixed up:

92-93 VCV10 3VZ-FE
94-96 MCV10 1MZ-FE

ES330 = MCV31 3MZ-FE

RX300 - MCU33

RX400h - MHU38

2005 only = Thundercloud Edition. Thundercloud Metallic & Flint Mica

2007 Lexus ES350 and RX350 will have the 2GR-FSE. The New Rav4 will have the 2GR-FE.

So during those years could you get those same colors in Non-Sport Design versions as well? For example, Could you buy a 2003 IS300 in Graphite w/o the Sport Design package?

Also, was Graphite Gray Pearl available during the entire production of the IS300 if it was for a special edition that started in 2003?

Were Alabaster, Graphite and Thundercloud available as standard colors in 2005 then?

Yeah, I guessed at those a few months before the car came out.... thanks for updating that info for me.

I think you meant RX330 instead of RX300 so made those updates... but what about 2WD vs AWD hybrid RX400h versions. Is there going to be a 2WD hybrid? What is the engine code for the RX400h AWD? Still 3MZ-FE?

So in 2005 if you wanted TCM or FM you had to get the Thundercloud Edition? I need to know if the edition was mandatory to get the color or if the edition was optional only in those colors.

GGP was available from 2001-2005.

The Sport Design 03 version's exclusive color was Thundercloud Metallic, but was also available in Black Onyx and GGP

The Sport Design 04 version's exclusive color was Alabaster Metallic and TCM, but was also available in GGP as well.

2005 had no special packages.

2004+ RX330:

2WD = MCU33 3MZ-FE
AWD = MCU38 3MZ-FE
400h = MHU38 - Only one version available AWD. 3MZ-FE V6 w/Hybrid Synergy Drive. The 3MZ-FE powering the front wheels, the HSD system powering rear and partial front.

Thundercloud Edition = TCM exclusive color, Flint Mica was an available option but is available on regular RX models.

* 2003-2004 Thunder Cloud required Sport Design Edition
* 2003 Graphite & Black optional on Sport Design Edition
* 2004 Alabaster required Sport Design Edition
* 2004 Graphite optional on Sport Design Edition
