Question

I've been watching and have seen LOT"S of talk
about the ECU/TRAC probelms on our IS300's. I've checked my VIN#'s and they don't fall into the problem area. But if so ..... what problems should I be noticing ?
I'm use to a 4 spd Z28 Tranny so this 5 spd Lexus is WAY strange feeling for me anyways.
Little help ????
Tanks :-)

Before update: Impossible to leave a stop smoothly, abrupt engagement of the transmission at low speed
After update: nice and smooth, never jerks your head back

Heres another test: Crusing at 35/40, start to slow down, when you get to about 15/20 get back on the gas, maybe 40% throttle. Without the update you can often catch the transmission in a state where it doesn't seem to know what gear to use, so when you get back on the gas the engine revs but you don't go anywhere until the tranny picks a gear. One time this resulted in a surging reaction in my car, engine rev'd up and down about 3 times before it picked a gear properly.

Thanks for the input .... I'll have to try out some of those things. I noticed that that under low throttle take off, the car shifts out of first gear REALLY quick ( under 2,000 rpm) Is that normal as well ? This 5 spd Auto is really strange feeling.
Thanks for help'n
