If, when you took delivery of your IS 300 could change 3 things about the car, what would they be ? And no it can't price or totally outrageous ideas.
For me
1) dual exhaust oh yeah louder too
2) better HVAC controls- smart A/C light, green when active, and yellow when in standy-by
3) solid aluminum or at least real metal shift selector ball, with cool machined L logo

Wish list
1. Arm rest / storage
2. Lumbar in the seats
3. Optional Sport or Premium packages like BMW
The sport would include things like sub-frame chassis connectors, lowering kit, 18" wheel tires etc.
The Premium would include more plush leather with wood trim, memory seats, power lumbar, etc.

1 - Bigger cams or dual VVTi. With a higher redline. The 2 litre 4 cyl Altezza puts out 210 hp. Same bore and stroke. How would 315 HP sound?
2 - R406a refrigerant instead of the stock R134a. When it's over 110F/43C, the A/C just doesn't cut it.
3 - A clutch, with a 5 speed.
4 - A taller diff ratio, or at least a taller first gear, with the other ratios altered to suit.
5 - No speed limiter.
6 - Pedal controlled throttle.
7 - A real traction control system, not a wheelspin prevention unit.
8 - HID high beams.
After all that, it might sound like I don't like the car. Far from it...

I see some really great ideas for improvements, the armrest, for sure, I'm glad Lexus is adding this. The reply with the refrigerant was very accurate...I was impressed ! and agree the 134a is weak ! Fully loaded with passengers....(rare) and blazing 95 degree day A/C is really working hard. Pedal controlled throttle, I thought the idea of 'drive-by-wire' would be really cool...but it's not, in fact there's some what of a delay in response...it's very slight, but it's there. I think I had better results with traditional cable/throttle connection. Ah yes memory seats.....these would be great to have as well.....over all excellent ideas !
