Newbie here!
2 questions..
anyone know how to turn off the safety function of the navi? So i can use it while driving?
how do i hook up a tv tuner and watch movies in the navi screen?

1) you can overside something connect to the nav unit in the trunk, that's the speed sensor, and that will allow you to adjust the nav when driving. i believe so. but you need to make that switch since if the speed sensor is not connected, the nav won't be able to position itself
2) you can always do that i think, just need to have a converter put between the screen and the nav unit? i have seen it done before, but i am no audio/video person.

1) I would love to know this answer too, I just installed the Kenwood KNA-DV4100 and its a great unit except for the speed lockout. The speed sensor is so hard to tap into on the manual IS300s... makes it even worse.
2) Yes, for the factory navi you can buy a converter that gives you a/V inputs so you can add a DVD, PS2, TV tuner, etc. They are like $650 though
