I'm scheduled to go into service any day now. I'm extremely worried about this. Some people say, it kinda slows the car. Other People tell me not to worry that it won't do a thing. Now I'm just waiting to see what other people, who have done it have to say. I would love to hear everyone's input.

I guess the trac/ecu problem is not so bad, as long as you turn off the traction control. I only feel the problem when I'm turning and there's a small bump or if I'm in a turn and accelarating.

What to do? Leave it like that? or ...... risk slowing the car...... HELP

defanatly do update but make sure to tell the techs to reset your car (taking a negative wire from the battery for 1 min)

Default Unplug Battery

If they unplug the battery, I've noticed that the car slows down for a few hundred miles until it "learns your driving" But if it makes the car feel better, I'm all for it!!

Haveboost, I'm worried too. It's scheduled for Saturday, June 30th...
The service manager told me I'd have to drive it with the power mode on after the upgrade is done... That's weird.
Glex...what's this about a reset with the battery? Just unplug the negative wire for a minute? What's that supposed to do?

Sheila - the car learns you're driving style. when you break it in, chances are you're not redlining it every gear, doing 0 - 60 launches every second. if you unplug the battery(negative wire) for a minute or two, it forgets your style and you re-teach it. so when you reset the memory - drive it hard for a little while, i thought it was 50 miles, but i could be wrong. by driving it hard, it will learn that style and in turn be more aggressive

Scoot557: OK, we'll send the car back to school...I'll just have 7K miles on it by this weekend, so it's not been graduated very long anyway. I guess I just have to have faith. The service manager said that he did the upgrade for someone else and they told him they couldn't feel any difference. Then he noted that I probably will, since I drive the car harder...

i think i told you that .. after you got the upgrade. to unplug the negative battery side and then you should have a "re-learned" ecu with the new flash and replacemnet
