Question

I am a potential buyer of the IS300. I just want to know what you guys paid for yours. I am looking forward to buying a 2001 model before the 2002s come out. How much do you think I can get the car for out the door? Leather doesn't matter, but I prefer a sunroof and that's about it. So far, the qoutes I recieved was between 31k to 35k dollars. Shouldn't it be cheaper now that the news models are about to come out? Anyway, just post what you paid for out the door. Thanks.

Somewhere close to 31 to 31.5K, depending upon the equipment and your location, is fair...especially if you will take one from current inventory. They've come down some, but you'll be hard pressed to break the 30K barrier. The sales guy has to make a buck... Believe me, I paid more last August.

Default IS300 - Cost

I leased one for my wife the week before last. The best I could do on the cap cost was $31,455. The sticker was over $34,000 so I feel that I got a pretty decent deal. The only other thing that I *****ed about to the sales manager was the residual value (57%) Toyota Finance used to determine the lease payments; however, the money factor was around .003 which is equivalent to 7.2% apr. I guess this is a trade off for lease financing, you may find a lender that uses a higher residual, but not necessarily a favorable money factor.

Anyway, I hope this helps. BTW, I am in South Florida.

Good luck,
Brian

I bought mine a week ago for $31,400 options including Leather heated seats, sunroof, Spoiler and armrest, minus LSD and Graphite wheel.

You can use my figure with Plus or Minus your options.
Fully loaded shouldn't be more than $32K.

TNguyenIS300:

Was that the price you talked them down to or the price that they're selling them for right now? Also, where do you live. I'm in Sacramento, CA.

Default Good deals

I've seen good deals on demo's and MSO cars. JM Lexus had an executive MSO car (never titled) and all options for $28.5K with 8,000 miles on it. I bought mine the same way, warranty starts from when you drive it off the lot.

rivvin: Yes of course, $31,400 was the price after the negociated for about 2 days between 2 Lexus dealers.
If I remember correctly, original they want to sale it for $34,900(MSRP) - $1,500 (discount on '01 model) still w/out options of spoiler, armrest, LSD (very rare), graphite wheel. Like I mentioned ealier, I don't think you will have any problem getting a fully loaded around $32.5K max before tax. I hope this Info will help.

BTW - Try to stay away from those DEMO car if you could. I've heard a lot of negative things about it.

That's right, Right now is the time to buy. The lease specials are there. And they have a college grad program for buying/leasing. If you are looking forward to the navigation unit or perhaps a 5-speed manual. WAIT! But if that's not your cup of tea, Suggestion BUY NOW! I have friends who paid sticker because when the car was realeased the dealer was not giving price breaks.

BUY IT --- It's worth It.
