easy get a bucket or oil catch can place it underneath the oil bolt...14mm i think...losen and let the oil drain...once oil is drained tighten bolt back up...next losen the oil filter on the drivers side right underneath the intake manifold...may need an oil filter wrench...take that off and make sure you have the right oil filter to replace it with...next lube the gasket on the oil filter with the oil you're using and tighten the new one back up to where you took the old one off...make sure all the bolts and oil filter are tight...and then put the oil of your choice in...5.4qts i think...fill it up and wait a couple minutes and check the dipstick to make sure its right...close your hood and you're done

Make sure to fill the new oil filter with oil before you screw it back on. Otherwise it takes more time to get enough pressure in the system. Fon't overtighten the filter - should be not much more than hand tight.

Changing your own oil is a good idea. My experience with Jiffy Lube et al (no offense to anyone) is that I am likely to get some pizza-faced teenager who tightens everything down w/ an air wrench.

They are also likely to break your hood clip

I always take the oil filter off first, then drain the oil pan.
