Cool Spoiler wiring problem

Hey guys I have a little problem, I just mounted a factory spoiler for my is300 ,i hooked up the wiring to the one of the trunk brake lights and now the spoiler brake light works only when the lights are off and when the lights are on the spoiler brake light doesn't work. Going to work on it some more after the weekend so if anybody knows where i might of gone wrong please give me any helpful suggestions thanks.

when the lights are on, you mentioned that the spoiler brake light doesn't work but how about the rear brake lights? still normal?

i wonder if it has anything to do with the rear brake light setup. it's a 2 fllaments setup, so if lights are on, one filament is on. if braking, both are on. i wonder if that has something to do with what you seeing now

yes everything else is still normal , I was wondering if maybe I have to ground one of the spoiler wires and only connect the red wire to the brake light wire?.

umm.... my instinct told me that one of the wire should be the white with black stripe. the other one, that's test and trial.

let us know how it goes!
