Default Stainless Steel Hood Prop Kit

With just a bar as a stock prop on the IS300, I know many of us have looked for something better. I have a carbon fiber hood, so the rediculously bad stock prop had to go. The hood with swing back and forth at car shows if there was even a hint of a breeze. Anyway, I spoke to Fig about getting the prop kit for my car. I decided on the stainless steel kit because it solved my prop problem and looks sooooo good.

The kit came with each part wrapped individually, protecting every part during shipping. All the parts were mirror shiny! The directions are very easy to follow and the installation took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The hood now has the smooth piston action on opening and closing. If you lower the hood past about half way, it will smoothly close without any slamming or forcing.

The looks are simply fantastic. It is an absolute must for any show car or any car that will have the hood opened very often. For more info check out www.figsprops.com

Here are the pics!

Matt, I think you will absolutely love having this on your car. They match all the shine under the hood that we both have. It really is the best possible option out there and the cost is really reasonable. Twin.

Yeah I was talking to Fig about it. I was going to go for normal kit and paint it. How much is this SS kit all together?

Trust me, you will absolutely love the stainless steel kit. Painting would be cool too, but I think the stainless looks as good as it gets. The pieces are all polished like glass and really work well with the flow of all the polished pieces we have under the hood.

I think the SS kit is $250 or $325 for every piece in stainless. Trust me, we have the same taste. lol

I agree. Fig has definitely worked hard for a solution that almost every one of us had about the prop stick. Thanks fig!!!! Oh the stainless kit is SO NICE LOOKING!

hahah the problem isn't about whether you care what it looks like under the hood. it's about when you want to hold up the hood and work on the car

I was wondering if the less counterweight of the carbon fiber (kevlar) hood would affect the function of the props but I guess not.

Looks good!
