Default If you don't mind divulging...

This question is for those who bought their IS300's new, and don't mind divulging how much they paid for their car.

State the year, tarnsmission (auto vs manual), and price you paid for your new car.

Thanks guys.

i believe it's 32000

Southern Cali
Bought November 2001(almost 3 yrs old this coming month )
2002 MSM E-shift with everything( Full black leather, Navigation,LSD, Heated Seats, carpet mats, trunk mat, cargo net) - I opted out the rear spoiler and graphite wheels.

Back then the manuals where just coming out - westminster and longo lexus told me the wait for the manuals where 6-8 months (this was sept-oct 2001) in the configuration I wanted. Westminster finally sold me the car @ $32,800 for everything tax/title/tags. The car listed with all options @ (back in 2001) $35,900 before taxes.

Was able to take advantage of their new graduates promotion 2.9% apr thru LFS .

'03 Thundercloud Metallic Sportdesign, e-shift, no extra options (since it basically came with everything except for nav, LSD, heated seats)

$28.2k pre-tax, license, etc. stickered around $33-34ish.

You got a good price for a new car E, probably because of your irresistable charm.

azari, I bought my 2003 e-shift new for $30K + tax, tags, and title. I did not get nav, LSD, heated seats, or VSC, but did get the graphite polished wheels.

Default There's a pattern here.

One thing these postings show is that the deals were generally better on the 2003-04 models than on the 2001-02's.........probably because the car was no longer a novelty, had not sold very well, and by then had more comptition from cars like the Infiniti G35.

nah, it wasn't that. heehee...it was b/c i went through the internet sales depts of various dealers. i basically emailed 6 local dealers, told them what i wanted, and let them respond to me. i checked the carsdirect.com price to use as somewhat of a comparison. i figured if i could get a car for the carsdirect price or lower, then i'm "winning" since the carsdirect cars didn't list the spoiler, floormats, trunkmat, cargo net, wheel locks, etc as included in the price, while dealer cars (most of the time) did for SDs.

i could only find 2 TCM e-shifts in stock like i wanted, so it was easy. 1 dealer agreed to my price but they didn't have the car in stock, so i took that price and went to a dealer who DID have the car in stock, and said basically "dealer X offered me the car for this price. can you beat it?". and they did. i was pretty happy with everything since i handled it myself.

Nice job. I didn't hassle too much, but got the dealership to give us the graphite wheels. I was in a rush to buy and basically had only a week to find a car (Honda S2000, G35 Coupe, Z4, or IS300). I bought from the dealership that treated me the best and had the best service, even though the IS300 was my third choice. Though I'm happy with my purchase now, but I still want a coupe or convertible.
